Barcelona, June 11, 2024.- According to SupplyChain 24/7 magazine, the global air cargo market is on track for double-digit growth in volumes in 2024, driven by a remarkable +12% year-on-year increase in demand observed in May, according to recent data from Xeneta. This positive trend follows six consecutive months of high regional demand for cargo capacity, which has boosted expectations beyond the single-digit growth forecasts set at the end of last year. Consequently, the global air cargo spot rate in May registered its second consecutive monthly growth, rising +9% year-on-year to $2.58 per kg, and up +5% month-on-month.

IATA Announces First Signatories to Air Cargo Digitalization Leadership Charter
Barcelona, March 18, 2024.- The International Air Transport Association (IATA) announced the launch of the IATA Digitalization Leadership Charter at the IATA World Cargo Symposium in Hong Kong. Cathay Cargo, CHAMP Cargosystems, Global Logistics System (HK) Company Limited, IAG Cargo, IBS Software, LATAM Cargo, and Lufthansa Cargo are the inaugural signatories of the charter.

Barcelona, April 20, 2021.- According to The Aviation Industry Hub, the aircraft has been designed to perform transport and logistics tasks regardless of ground infrastructure with no need for ports, roads, waterways, airports, airfields, railways, hangars or runways. Aerosmena said the “flying saucer” design will make the airship easier to manoeuvre and landing in a crosswind than other airship projects which use a more traditional elongated hull shape.
